A Jaunt, A Journey! Jolanda is on a Joyride!

Having a little fun with the Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge (#278) – Name Your Game using my Initial and flipping the Sketch from The Paper Players Challenge (#547) to accommodate my idea. A quick and easy card. Here is the result: Steps: Choosing a word that started with a “J” was the first order ofContinue reading “A Jaunt, A Journey! Jolanda is on a Joyride!”

A Jar of Meadow Flowers – Hello Friend

Farm House / Shabby Chic is something I love to look at but rarely use for inspiration in my card making. Over at TGIF, the current challenge (#322) is just that.  A favorite of Andrea Tracy-Tucker – Designer of the Month.  I chose to use the color palette suggested by the Fab Friday team (#216).Continue reading “A Jar of Meadow Flowers – Hello Friend”

Let’s Celebrate – Just Because

Each month, Stampin’ Up! issues a #SimpleStamping Challenge.  For the month of June, the theme was “Just Because” and we were encouraged to use a punch in addition to Stamp, Paper and Ink. Keeping this challenge in mind, I mixed it up with the current sketch challenge from CAS Colours & Sketches (#425).  For myContinue reading “Let’s Celebrate – Just Because”

Bamboo Beauty – Caring Thoughts

I decided to play with the Blended Alcohol Technique for this card. Over at Sunday Stamps (#259), the current challenge is Color and you must pick at least three colors.  As a “Green” girl, I opted for what I determined to be White, Soft Sea Foam, Just Jade and Pool Party. To create the backgroundContinue reading “Bamboo Beauty – Caring Thoughts”

Blossoms in Bloom – Penned Flowers Birthday

Over at the Color Hue challenge site, the colors are Black and Aqua.  Such a striking combination! I felt that the Saturday Sketch (#665) would work nicely for the idea that popped in to my head. I pulled out a piece of retired Tempting Turquoise cardstock and the matching Stampin’ Write Marker for this project. Continue reading “Blossoms in Bloom – Penned Flowers Birthday”

Daisy Garden – Biggest Wishes for your Birthday, my Friend

Celebrate Sunflowers – Thanks a Bunch

My take on this week’s Sunday Sketch Challenge – SS005. The choice of stamp set – Celebrate Sunflowers was influenced by the Color Challenge presented by Hand Stamped Sentiments (#366). Here is the result: Steps: Focal Image: Sunflowers.  The smaller Sunflower image was stamped twice on to a scrap of Basic White cardstock using MementoContinue reading “Celebrate Sunflowers – Thanks a Bunch”
