Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#585), where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired. Today’s inspiration can be found on page 48 of the Sep – Dec 2026 Catalog.
My design choices were influenced by Retro Rubber (#282) with a Fall theme including Leaves; Ellibelle’s I Spy (#41) to include Background Text & Sentiment; We Love Stamping (#2610) for Shades of Autumn; and Make My Monday (#288) for an Autumn / Fall theme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder.
- Accent Mat: (3¾” x 4½”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (5½” x 8½”) Very Vanilla cardstock ultimately trimmed to (3½” x 4¼”).
- Crumb Cake ink was applied to the retired Linen Background stamp (circa 2006) and then swipes of Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Cajun Craze inks were added before stamping.
- Using a Stampin’ Spritzer, water was lightly misted to blend / soften the colors.
- Once dry (aided with the Heat Tool), Pecan Pie ink was applied to the retired French Script Background stamp (circa 2007) and stamped.
- In collage style, the Maple Leaf and Seedlings image from the retired Soft Seedlings stamp set (circa 2022) was stamped with Cajun Craze ink.
- Shape – Hexagon: Pecan Pie cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Birthday Cheer to you all year, from the retired Parcels & Petals stamp set (circa 2019) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the Hexagon die from the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder, still available but now on the Last Chance list.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment Label was popped up with Dimensionals. Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots (retired) were added to complete the card.
A nice Fall themed birthday card.
