Bold Birthday

Time again for the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#499) Design Team Challenge.  This round, we have a great set of colors.

My design choices were influenced by The Male Room (#215) for something Geometric; AAA Birthday (#90) for Big & Bold; Seize The Birthday (#336) to add a Double Frame; and finishing it off with some Paper Piecing for Just Add Ink (#796).

Here is the result:

WANTED TO SAY DIES – STYLISH SHAPES DIES – HSSCC499 – TMR215 – AAABCB90 – STB336 – JAI796

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Timid Tiger cardstock.
  • Double Frame: Misty Moonlight cardstock die-cut with the (2¾”) and 2⅜”) Square Stitched dies and the (3”) and (2⅝”) Stitched Circle dies from the Stylish Shaped Dies set.
  • Paper Piecing: Cajun Craze and Timid Tiger cardstocks also die-cut with the smaller Square and Circle dies.
  • Sentiment: Timid Tiger and Misty Moonlight cardstocks die-cut with the Happy Birthday die from the retired Wanted to Say Dies set, three times each and stacked together.

All elements were then adhered to the card base for a fun bold geometric guy card.

I look forward to seeing what you will create with the Hand Stamped Sentiments colors this round.
