Welcome back to the work week. Off to a good start this Monday morning.
Playing with the Seize the Birthday (#252) Case challenge and mixing it up with the Color Hues (#54) suggestion and sharing it with Happy Little Stampers (December) group and CAS on Friday (#245).

I chose to case the card created by Vicki Dutcher from the Seize the Birthday (#243) Challenge.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- Floral and Leaf images from the Cottage Rose stamp set were stamped in the lower left corner with Night of Navy ink.
- To achieve the layered look, Masks were stamped onto Masking Paper and fussy cut with Paper Snips.
- Using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush, the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker and a Block (ink scribbled on to block), the Floral design was water colored.
- Lost or blurred details due to water coloring were added back with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker.
- A touch of Highland Heather ink was added to the Baby’s Breath Flowers and a touch of Pear Pizzazz ink was added to the Leaves.
- Once dry, the panel was die-cut with three of the Rectangle dies from the Stitched Rectangles Dies set. (3” x 4⅜”), (3⅜”x 4¾”) and (3¾” x 5⅛”).
- The (3¾” x 5⅛”) Frame was adhered to the card base. The (3⅜” x 4¾”) Frame was added inside with Mini Dimensionals and the Center piece was added with double mounted Dimensionals for the Triple Layered Technique look.
- The sentiment, Best Wishes, also from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy ink and die-cut with the (1⅝” x 1¼”) stitched Rectangle die.
I have always been fond of a blue/white/vanilla image. Reminds of my Dutch heritage and the pretty Delft Blue porcelain.
Clean and simple, one layer with a twist. Thanks for the inspiration, Vicki.

Jolanda, I think you picked a really terrific card to CASE, and you certainly did an outstanding job. I Love the triple panel a lot as it really makes the card look like you put extra effort into it, yet it is relatively easy. Thanks for playing along at Seize the Birthday and for using the topping too.
