Hello Color – Happy Birthday

The Color Combination Challenge over at The Color Hues (#22) is one of my all-time favorites.  Who can resist the freshness of Lime Green (closest color match Granny Apple Green) and Aqua (closest color matches Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay).

The retired stamp set, Hello Color was just perfect for this challenge.  A Hippy Dippy design just begging to be colored!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Focal Image: (4¼” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.  The design image was stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends colors: Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and the retired Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Blendabilities.
• Sentiment Panel: (4½” x 3¼”) Basic White cardstock.  The hand-lettered sentiment, Happy Birthday, was added under the Focal Image using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
• Background Panel: (5” x 3½”) Bermuda Bay cardstock.

All of the panels were layered and added to a Granny Apple Green card base (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) to complete the card.

Pulling out old favorites from your collection of stamps is always fun!  Stampin’ Blends make adult coloring so easy.  With the wide range of color options, you can let your imagination go where ever it takes you.
