Keeping Family Close – City Sights

Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#581), where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired.  Today’s inspiration can be found on page 38 of the Sep – Dec 2026 Catalog.

My design choices were influenced by today’s date, September 11, and include Inkspirational (#375) for a Family, Love and Home theme; choosing the Color Hues (#140) palette; Little Red Wagon (#875) to add a Postage Stamp; and sharing with Crafter’s Café (#333) Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock, retired.
• All remaining elements are found in the City Sights Card Kit, retired.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Watercolor Wash Boho Blue Envelope.
  • Narrow Strip: (¾” x 5”) Pebbled Path Card Base.
  • Block: (1½ x 4⅛”) Crumb Cake Card Base.
  • Postage Stamp: Vertical Buildings Card Base die-cut with the (2¼” x 3½”) Postage Stamp die from the Beautiful Blooms Dies set, the Paper Pumpkin Add-On from First Quarter 2026.
  • Sentiment Banner: (3¼” x ½”) Boho Blue pre-printed Sentiment, popped up with Dimensionals.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

An appropriate remembrance card for 9/11.
