Beauty – Under the Sea

Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts (#691) Sketch.

My design choices were influenced by Time Out (#317); Just Us Girls (#832); and Paper Players (#795), all with a water and/or beach theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front: (5½” x 4¼”) White Textured Card Base from the Serene Scenes Card Kit, an On-Line Exclusive product, cut apart.
  • Using the (1⅞” x 1⅛”) Postage die from the Perennial Postage Dies set, four stamps were die-cut.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Cloud Cover Ombre Effect Envelope also from the Card Kit, cut apart.
  • The Wave image from the retired A Fish & A Wish stamp set was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink as was the Larger Fish image with Misty Moonlight ink.  The sentiment, Our friendship is a thing of beauty, from the retired Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
• Postage Stamps: previously die-cut were stamped with images from the Fish & A Wish stamp set.
  • Waves – Cloud Cover ink; Large Fish – Misty Moonlight ink; and Small Fish – Lost Lagoon ink.

Keeping the design clean and simple, all elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. 

At the beach, in the water, under the sea, beautiful fish make beautiful friends…
