A Brew Birthday

Welcome back!  A brand-new week and I have a fun birthday card for my guy…who is a fan of Beer!

The mash-up for today includes: The Male Room (#210) with a Drink theme, Time Out (#314) with a Beverage theme, and AAA Birthday Cards (#86) with a Guy theme.

Choosing to add texture and embellishments for Can You Handle the Pressure (#260523) and selecting elements from the Festive Friday (#210) list to complete my card: Brads, Masking and Birthday.

Here is the result:

BUBBLE OVER – TMR210 – TOC314 – AAABCB86 – CYHTP260523 – FF0210

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Focal Image – Beer Bottle: (2” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The larger Bottle image from the retired Bubble Over stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and die-cut with the coordinating die from the retired Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies set.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic Beige cardstock.
    • The Panel was die-cut with the (3¾” x 5”) Rectangle die from the retired Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
    • The resultant Mask created by the Bottle die-cut was adhered in place with low-tack tape and Pecan Pie ink was added with a Blending Brush to create the shadow effect.
    • The sentiment, May your day Bubble over with happiness, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
    • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the Dotted Circle 3D Embossing Folder, still available but now on the Last Chance List.
    • Five retired Metallic Brads were added to some of the debossed circles.
  • Finishing Details – Bottle Label and Bottle Cap: Basic White and retired Brushed Silver cardstock scraps.
    • Using the same Bottle image, the Label area was inked with Real Red ink and stamped off once for a lighter effect.
    • The sentiment, Have a Birthday Brew, was stamped onto the Label with Night of Navy ink.
    • Both the Label and the Bottle were closely trimmed with Detail Scissors.
    • The Bottle Cap was also die-cut.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The assembled Beer Bottle was popped up with Dimensionals.

I am sure my fellow and yours will enjoy this birthday card.
