Fern & Flora – Here For You

Hi again!  I am catching up from a few days of being ill and headaches are not conducive to creative thoughts.

A clean and simple Sympathy card for CAS on Friday (#332) influenced by Color Dare (#700) for the palette and Just Us Girls (#820) to use Stencils and Addicted to Stamps & More (#515) to use Stencils and/or Dies.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White Thick cardstock.
  • Selecting a Stencil from my stash of tools from Show Offs (a Hobby Lobby product) and Embossing Paste, the side rows were created using one of the Palette Knives.
  • Note: Both my White and Shimmering White Paste were too dry to use (will need to rehydrate), however my retired Silver Paste was still workable, if not a little too wet.  I added Night of Navy Classic Stampin Ink Refill (4 drops) to give the Silver a blue tone.
  • The sentiment, Here For You Always, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive Product, was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
• Decoration – Ferns: Cloud Cover and Pretty Peacock cardstocks.
  • The Fern and Fiddlehead dies from the new, Fern & Flora Dies Set, available in May, were die-cut.

All elements were adhered to the card base. 

I love the soft tones and the little bit of glimmer from the embossing paste for this calm sympathy card.
