Balloon Adventures – Party On!

Hello there!  Time to introduce you to the Atlantic Hearts (#678) Sketch.

My design choices were influenced by: Inspired By (#384) for the Balloon theme picking up the Pink and Purple colors; the Color Dare (#699) specific palette and creating a Birthday card for As You See It (#370) as this is the type of card I send out more often than Holiday cards.

Here is the result:

BALLOON ADVENTURES – CELEBRATE TODAY – AHSC678 – IN384 – CD699 – AYSI370

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Highland Heather cardstock.
  • Panels: (1½” x 3½”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, still available but now on the Last Chance List.
  • Decorative Element(s) – Balloons: Strawberry Slush and Highland Heather cardstock scraps.
    • The Dotted Balloon and Striped Balloon images from the retired Balloon Adventures stamp set were stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
    • The Stars image from the retired Celebrate Today stamp set was also stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
    • Using the coordinating retired Balloon Bouquet Punch, the three Balloons were punched out.
    • Using the retired Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker, the Balloon Outline was hand drawn on the “Stars” Balloon to match the other two Balloons.
  • Decorative Element(s) – Ribbon Tails: Strawberry Slush and Highland Heather cardstock scraps.
    • The Ribbon Tail image from the Celebrate Today stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and fussy cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Banner: Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap.
    • Both the Banner image and the sentiment, Party On!, from the Balloon Adventures stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The Banner was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, omitting the ribbon and bow in lieu of the Balloon Ribbon Tails.

A fun and bright Birthday card…
