Notes of Nature – All About You

Hi again!  A quick clean and simple card for you this afternoon featuring Washi Tape.

The challenges: AAA Birthday (#84) to use Washi Tape and TGIF (#573) asking for the same.

Design influenced by Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#2604) for a Spring themed Birthday and Creative Colour (#237) for the palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The greeting, Today is all about you, Happy Birthday, from the retired Notes of Nature stamp set was stamped with Gray Granite ink.
• Cross Strip – Coloring Washi Tape: (4½” x 2”) Woodland Fine Touch (Hobby Lobby) in my stash wrapped around.
  • Using Stampin’ Blends Markers the Washi Tape design was colored.  Colors Chosen: Background – Light Gray Granite; Leaves and Stems – Dark Gray Granite, Blossoms – Dark Petal Pink and Light Melon Mambo; Stamens – Light and Dark Melon Mambo.

And that is a wrap!  Keeping it simple to show off the Washi Tape. Coloring Washi Tape is fun to use.  Endless color combinations…
