Vintage Postage – Thinking of You

Welcome back!  Catching a few deadlines today…

Clean and Simple for Addicted to CAS (#306) with a Postage theme and AAA Cards (#312) to CASE a card created by Jane Taylor.

Design influences: Festive Friday (#207) with a Stationary theme and selecting several elements from the list and choosing the neutral colors from the Just Add Ink (#783) palette.

Here is the result:

COLLAGE OF STAMPS – ATCAS306 – AAACC312 – FF0207 – JAI783

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Vertical Strip: (1¾” x 5½”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • A collage of stamps in my collection were stamped randomly with 2nd Generation Early Espresso ink (stamped off once) to fill up the space.  They included: Travels Abroad (R), Posted For You (R), Fresh Vintage (R), and an Inkadinkado Postage themed stamp.
    • Using a Blending Brush and Pecan Pie ink, the strip was colored for a Sepia toned vintage distressed look.
  • Accent Mat: (2¼” x 2¼”) retired Soft Suede cardstock piece form my paper scrap bin was distressed with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Stamp: (2¼” x 2¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the retired Garden Meadow stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
    • Additional Postage elements from the Posted For You and Fresh Vintage stamp sets were also stamped with 2nd Generation Early Espresso ink.
    • The Sentiment was then die-cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Postage Stamp die from the Perennial Postage Dies set.
    • Additional distressing was added with the Blending Brush and Pecan Pie ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Jane’s layout, and the Sentiment was popped up Dimensionals

Loving the clean and simple styling for this nice Thinking of You card.
