Nature’s Symphony Botanical Spotlight

Welcome back!  Clean and simple is the order of the day…

CAS on Friday (#331) with a Botanical theme.

Choosing the Color Hues (#130) color combo and the Just Us Girls (#818) Spotlight Technique.

Picking the Paper Craft Crew (#667) Sketch to bring my ideas together.

Here is the result:

LOVELY FLORALS – NATURE’S SYMPHONY DIES – COS331 – TCH130 – JUGS818 – PCC667

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The greeting, hello, from the Lovely Florals stamp set, still available but now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Night of Navy ink and then the panel was dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Mat: (2½” x 4”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2¼” x 3¾”) Dotted Rectangle die from the retired Everyday Details Dies set.
  • Accent Circle: (2¼” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2”) Dotted Circle die from the same Dies set.
  • Focal Image – Leaf Spray: (3” X 4½”) Night of Navy and Melon Mambo cardstocks die-cut with the Leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
    • The Melon Mambo Leaf was laid over the Night of Navy Leaf with the Circle die-cut in between matching up the pattern and then the Circle die was set in place with low tack tape and then the Melon Mambo Leaf was die-cut again to make the “Spotlight” section.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The light blue, Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon, now on the Last Chance List, was wrapped around the Background Panel under the Accent Mat.

A nice greeting card…

  1. Absolutely beautiful CAS card Jolanda! I really love how you over-laid the circle die cut with the leaves and matching it up to the leave on the embossed background…so clever!! Thanks so much for sharing this lovely card with us at the Color Hues Challenge!! Marcia (DT) :0)
