Feathered Flight – Adventures

Welcome back!  I have the honor of being a guest designer with Time Out.

Time Out (#259) is collaborating with Just Us Girls (#718) today and the theme is Birds.  I have chosen a new stamp set Feathered Flight that is available as an On-Line Exclusive from Stampin’ Up!.

I have selected the current sketch from TGIF (#463) which I flipped to better accommodate my images.

Here is the result:

FEATHERED FLIGHT – TOC259 – JUGS718 – TGIFC463

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5½” x 3”) Mottled Paint patterned piece of Basic White cardstock that I used to mop up ink from the Stampin’ Glass Mat from some prior stamped project(s).
  • Tag Shape: (4” x 2¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock die-cut with the (3⅞” x 2”) Tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
    • With the Tag tipped to the right, the sentiment, new day, new adventure, was stamped twice, for a shadow effect with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool using Mossy Meadow ink.
    • The Rocks in Water image was colored with Stampin’ Write Markers.  Colors chosen: Boho Blue, Pecan Pie and Mossy Meadow.
  • Square Shape: (3” x 3”) Very Vanilla cardstock die-cut with the (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The Flying Mallard Duck image was colored with the Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers prior to stamping.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Square was popped up with Dimensionals.

What a nice guy card.  Graduation, retirement, encouragement…lots of possibilities.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers, Jolanda
