Hi again! Guess what? Tulips are popping up in my yard. We need to celebrate!
Over at Retro Rubber (#226), Stampin’ Up! Only (#447), and Make My Monday (#221) the themes are Spring, and all suggest Flowers. I just had to use my all-time favorite Tulip stamp set (Easter Blessings circa 2014).
The Global Design Project (#436) team is asking for a CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card created by Jay Soriano. I chose the general layout minus the floating elements and the center strip and flipped it to a horizontal position. I am also sharing this card with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (March) Anything Goes theme – what better than Spring Flowers?
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Daffodil Delight cardstock dry-embossed with this season’s Sale-a-bration Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder.
- Accent Strips: (½” x 4”) Old Olive Dashed patterned pieces of paper from the 2023/2024 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Focal Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Tulip Image from the retied Blessed Easter stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Old Olive.
- The panel was die-cut with the (2⅝” x 4”) Rectangle die from the On-Line Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies set.
- Sentiment Circler: (1¾” x 1¾”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The greeting, Hello, from the On-Line Exclusive Tropical Leaf stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and die-cut with the (1½”) Circle die from the same Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch layout of Jay’s card. The Greeting was popped up with Dimensionals.
Such a nice greeting card.

Likewise. Time flies by and with so many it is hard to find time to truly connect.
