Sending Good Luck – Bird’s Eye View

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#681) challenge.  This week, Joanne has a selected a clean and simple style with a Good Luck theme.

A few other clean and simple challenges added a few extra elements:  Inkspirational (#311), a Balloon option and CAS Colours & Sketches (#532) for the color selection.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Bird image from the Bird’s Eye View stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • A Balloon and String were hand-drawn with my Uniball Mirco Pen.
  • The word, Sending, from one of the sentiment stamps from the Perennial Postage stamp set was inked with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and stamped in place with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool.
  • Similarly, the words, Good Luck and Your Way, from one of the sentiment stamps from the Sending Smiles stamp set was inked and stamped in place.
  • The scene was then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bird Head – Light Balmy Blue; Bird Body and Wings – Light Old Olive; Hair Tuft, Beak and Feet – Light Daffodil Delight; and Balloon – Light Azure Afternoon.  Shadows were added with Light Soft Sky (retired).

And that, as they say, is a wrap!  Simple Stamping, just Stamps, Ink and Paper.
