A Winter Cup of Joy

Back again!  One more deadline…

Over at Caffeinated Christmas (#27) we are asked to add Green.  Over at Jingle Belles (#2405) we are asked to use Die Cuts.  Over at Farm Quest’s Country Christmas (#5) we need a bit of Outdoor warmth.  Imagine a Coffee and a Blanket while sitting around a fire.  Bringing these ideas all together, I picked the Atlantic Heart’s (#566) Sketch.

Here is the result:

BACKGROUND BORDERS – BUFFALO CHECK – SEAONAL SNAPSHOT – HAVE A CUP ON US – CCCC27 – JB2405 – FQCCCB05 – AHSC566

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Sweet Sorbet cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Blocks were created by stamping across the panel with the three Border images from the retired Background Borders stamp set and a portion of the retired Buffalo Check background stamp in Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce inks.
  • Accent Circle: (2½”) Sweet Sorbet cardstock die-cut with one of the Stitched Circle dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The sentiment, Joy, from the retired Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Focal Image – Coffee Cup: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Coffee Cup image from the Simply Stamps Have A Cup On Us stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The Coffee Cup was colored with both the Light and Dark Sweet Sorbet and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.
    • The Coffee Cup was die-cut with the coordinating Simply Stamps Have a Cup On Us Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Coffee Cup popped up with Dimensionals.

A simple and cozy holiday card.
