Mermaid Friends

One more…

Cupcake Inspirations (#569) theme this round is Mermaids.  The only item I have with Mermaids is the retired Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper and it included the returning colors Berry Burst and Lemon-Lime Twist so I opted to tie into the Sunday Stamps (#309) color scheme.  I swapped out Blueberry Bushel for Night of Navy and included Smoky Slate.  I am also sharing this card with Krafty Chicks (#665) for their All-Occasion theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Night of Navy and Silver Wave patterned piece of paper from the retired By The Bay Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  All stamping was done with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment, I love that we are friends, is from the Country Bouquet stamp set.
  • The Bubbles, Coral and Reeds are from the retired Seascape stamp set.
• Focal Image – Mermaid Friends: Berry Burst and Lemon-Lime Twist Tailed Mermaids were fussy-cut with Paper Snips from the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Mermaids were popped up with Dimensionals.

What a fun card to put together.  Two good friends having a frolic in the Sea.
