Spring Dragonfly – Follow Your Dreams

End of day…did you have a great weekend?  One last CAS (Clean and Simple) card.

Less Is More (#483) Spring theme; Can You Handle the Pressure (#31) Floral Twist; Alphabet (Letter D) “D” for Dragonfly; Addicted to CAS (#238) Freedom theme; and bringing them all together the Tuesday Morning (#707) sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Follow your dreams, from the retired Through it Together stamp set was stamped with Tahitian Tide ink in the lower right corner.
• Accent Trim: (3½”) Lacy Strip from the retired Delicate Details Lace Tape packet.
• Focal Panel: (3½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Floral Affection Mini Embossing Folder.
  • The Flowers and the Leaves were water-colored with Lemon Lolly and Granny Apple Green inks using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
• Accent Image – Dragonfly: Vellum cardstock scrap.
  • The Dragonfly image from the retired Awesomely Artistic stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The back of the image was colored with the dark Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • The Dragonfly was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All of the elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Dragonfly was popped up with a Dimensional.

Reminding everyone that they need to give themselves the permission and freedom to pursue their dreams.
