Forever Friends Floral

Hi! Welcome back.  Working with this week’s Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#408) sketch.  A very nice layout with lots of possibilities.

My choices were inspired by The Card Concept (#195a) photograph and the Beautiful Blossoms (#5) Mood Board and the Creative Colours (#89) suggestion. I am using the stamp set from the Forever Friends Card Kit.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Bottom Panel: (5¼” x 1¼”) Black and White Square Diamond patterned piece of paper from the retired All Together Designer Series Paper pack. The paper was colored with retired Pear Pizzazz ink applied with a Brayer.
• Accent Strip: (4¼” x ½”) Polished Pink (retired) cardstock scrap.
• Background Panel (3¾” x 3¼”) Balmy Blue Diagonal Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Image – Floral Cascade: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Friends Card Kit stamp set was stamped seven (7) times with Melon Mambo ink.
  • The Double Leaf image was also stamped seven (7) times with Mossy Meadow ink.
  • The Flowers and the Leaves were colored with the Light Melon Mambo and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The Flowers and the Leaves were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Banner – (2⅜” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, forever friends, was stamped with Balmy Blue ink and trimmed on the diagonal.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flowers and Leaves were arranged in a cascade with four (4) of the Flowers popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty profusion of bright pink blooms.  Perfect for that special friend.
