Irresistible Blooms – Dainty Delight Hello

Hello…I had the opportunity to create another card this afternoon.  I love playing in the Studio!

Two overlapping color challenges asking for almost the same thing: Paper Players (#640) and Color Throwdown (#743).  I selected the Dainty Delight stamp set because the image I chose would work well for the Slim Line card requested by the Global Design Project (#394) team.  I am also sharing this card with Jan’s Digi Stamps (May) Anything Goes as Flowers are perfect for the month of May.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (2¾” x 5¾”) Lemon-Lime Twist Water Colored patterned piece of paper from the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Trim (½” x 5¾”) Brushed Silver (retired) cardstock scrap from my Stash Bin.
• Focal Image – Floral Spray: (2½” x 5½”) Shimmery White cardstock (retired)
  • The larger Floral image from the Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors: Light and Dark Bubble Bath, Light Parakeet Party and Light Granny Apple Green.
  • The image was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Dainty Delight Dies set.
  • The entire image was water-colored with a light wash of Lemon-Lime Twist ink with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush to blend in with the patterned paper.
• Sentiment: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Hello, from the On-Line Exclusives Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The word was closely fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty greeting card.
