Just Peeking – Mischievous Cat

Welcome back!  A brand-new week.

Hosting the Ladies Book Discussion Group this evening and I have lots to do to get ready.  So, a quick clean and simple little card before I get started.

Challenges: CAS Colours & Sketches (#510) with the Alphabet (Letter C) for Cats and sharing with Give a Crafter a Cookie (#180).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a Blending Brush, Flirty Flamingo ink was added to the central area.
  • The sentiment, Just Peeking in to say Hello, from the retired Pretty Kitty stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
• Focal Image – Cat and Fish in Bowl: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Cat and Fish in Bowl image was stamped again with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The image was water-colored with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush using a light wash of Night of Navy (Cat) and (Fish Bowl Stand), Flirty Flamingo (Fish), Crumb Cake (Sand) and Pool Party (Water).
  • The Cat and the Fish Bowl were fussy-cut with Paper Snips and added over the original stamped image with Mini Dimensionals.

This Cat, our Persian Blue Long Hair, is so cute and his mischievous grin just makes me smile.  The little Fish is rightfully alarmed.
