Christmas Joy – Festival of Trees

There are several blog sites that promote getting ready for Christmas early.  Today, that is what I am doing…

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday everyone.

Challenges: Jingle Belles Rocks Tic Tac Toe Board; Happy Little Stampers (May); Krafty Chicks (#663); Creative Colour (#88) for the colors chosen; and Tuesday Morning (#706) for the sketch that brings it all together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Ray Halo image from the Circle Sayings stamp set was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink.
  • The sentiment, For lots of Joy at Christmas, from the retired Festival of Trees stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
  • The panel was dry-embossed with the retired Snow Falling Embossing Folder.
• Side Rectangle” (2¾” x 3¾”) Silver Striped patterned piece of paper from the retired Silver & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (5” x 1”) Cherry Cobbler Sheer Linen Ribbon (retired)
• Focal Image – Trimmed Tree: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Pine Tree image from the Festival of Trees stamp set was stamped with Garden Green ink.
  • The Garland image was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The Tree was punched out with the coordinating retired Tree Builder Punch.
  • A light coloring of Garden Green ink was applied over the Tree with a Blending Brush.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Tree was popped up with Dimensionals.  A Daffodil Delight Mini Star was punched out with the retired Merry Trio Star Punch and added to the top of the Tree.

Another Holiday card tucked away for the upcoming Season.
