Birthday Celebration – Circle Sayings

A couple of other deadlines.  Let’s have some fun!

Playing with TGIF (#419); Facebook Stampin’ Through The Catalog (Circle Sayings); Happy Little Stampers (Birthday) and Sketch Saturday (#725) to bring it all together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Berry Burst cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder.
• Vertical Strips: (1” x 4¾”) Petal Pink patterned paper from the retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Circle: (2½”) Basic Black cardstock punched with the retired (2½”) Circle Punch.
• Focal Circle: (2⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral image from the Circle Sayings stamp set was stamped with 2^nd Generation (stamped off once) Berry Burst ink and the color was drawn out with a Blender Pen.
  • Using the Blender Pen, Smoky Slate ink was added to the small Leaves.
  • The word Celebrate and Dots on the Celebrate image, also from the same stamp set, was inked with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and lined up with the Floral image.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, again from the same stamp set, was stamped in the center space with Berry Burst ink.
  • The completed image was punched out with the coordinating (2⅜”) Circle Punch.
  • The Circle was embellished with a bit of retired Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon and a few retired Champagne Basic Rhinestone Jewels.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Circle was popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty floral birthday card.
