Birthday Wishes – Happy 12th

My Grand-Nephew is 12.  How did that happen?  Time just flies on by…

Another Black and White themed card.

Today’s challenges:  Festive Friday (#133); Tic Tac Toe (#207); Sunday Stamps (#308); and another color pick for the Facebook SU! Colour choice for May.

Here is the result:

GARDEN BIRDHOUSES – PATTERN PARTY DSP – FF0133 – TTTC207 – SSC308 – SU! COLOUR May 2023

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (2” x 4½”) Black and White Gingham patterned piece of paper from the retired Pattern Party Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Flag Banner: (¾” x 4”) Tahitian Tide cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the retired Garden Birdhouses stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
    • The Banner was hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
  • Shape – Circle: (2⅛”) Basic White and Basic Black cardstock scraps.
    • Two Circles were die-cut using the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.The Number dies “1” and “2”, from the Alphabet A’ La Mode Dies set were cut into the Basic Black Circle.
    • The Basic Black Circle was adhered over the Basic White Circle.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Circle was popped up with Dimensionals.

Clean and simple, suitable for a young made who is not a fussy fellow.  I am liking the pop of bright blue.
