Fabulous You – Best Friends

Welcome back! Staying with the Black and White theme for another CAS (clean and simple) card.

Today’s challenges support Special Women whether they are fabulous mothers or friends: Time Out (#237), Shopping Our Stash (#496) and Cupcake Inspirations (#568); Try Stampin’ on Tuesday (#605); and the Facebook SU! Colour choices for May.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (2½” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Both the Floral Shoe and Sentiment from the retired Fabulous You stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Leaves and Butterflies on the Shoe were colored with the Light Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.
• Banner Strip: (3¼” x ⅝”) Parakeet Party cardstock scrap dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes: Basic White cardstock scrap colored with the Dark Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • The Small Butterfly, from the same stamp set was stamped three times with Versamark ink and also heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Butterflies were fussy cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch flipped to the horizontal position.  The Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals.

Another Black and White with a Pop of Color card.  Always a favorite!  I have always loved that Shoe and today was a good day to pull it out and use again.  An elegant Shoe for a Fabulous Woman.
