True Beauty – Just Because

So many Sunday deadlines…

Next up…Facebook Colour INKspirations (#141) with the Atlantic Hearts (#521) sketch.

I took a dive into my bins.  When a new catalog is around the corner, I look about for room to put new “treasures” and find old “treasures”.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Vertical Strips: Variety of papers.
  • Center: (5¼” x 1”) Brushed Metallic cardstock – Gold Color.
  •  Inner Left and Right: (5¼” x ¾”) Black and Vanilla Small Leaf patterned piece of paper from the retired Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Vanilla Leaves were colored with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Outer Left and Right: (5¼” x ¾”) Basic Black cardstock dry-embossed with one of the retired Meadow Moments Embossing Folders.
• Horizontal Cross Strip: (4” x 2”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Overlay: (4” x 2”) Floral patterned Window Sheet from the retired Golden Garden Specialty Acetate pack.
• Sentiment Label: (2⅜” x ⅜”) Soft Succulent cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Just Because, from the True Beauty stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The small sentiment was backed by a short length of the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and popped up with Dimensionals.

Black and Gold, a very elegant combination.
