Rainbow Bookcase – Enjoy the Moment

Is Reading a favorite pastime of yours?  It is one of mine.  Curling up with a good book is always a pleasure.

Next up…Time Out (#236) theme – Books, Inspired By (#234) for the colorful inspiration photo and Try Stampin’ On Tuesday (#602) sketch and color inspiration.

I did not have a stamp image in my collection related to Books.  I sourced a Clip Art image and printed it on Basic White cardstock.  Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Rectangle Panel: (2⅜” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Clip Art image was printed, trimmed and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors selected were both Light and Dark Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide, Highland Heather, Polished Pink and Real Red.
  • A little Light Smoky Slate color was added for some shadowing.
• Semi-Circle: (2½”) Granny Apple Green cardstock scrap die-cut with the Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: (2⅜” x ½”) Daffodil Delight cardstock scrap.
  • The truncated/blended sentiment, Enjoy Good Things, from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink with the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Three Matte Black Dots were added and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A fun and colorful card.
