Blue Heart – Thank you

Welcome back!  It is already Thursday, and the week is quick coming to an end…

Today, I am playing with Festive Friday (#132) and The Male Room (#173) opting for the TGIF (#416) sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the On-Line Exclusive Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Strips: (1” x 4”) Night of Navy, Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky scraps.
  • The Strips were torn and loosely fitted together by overlapping them across a small strip of copy paper.
  • The Strip Panel was die-cut with the Open-Cut Lace Heart die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies set.
• Sentiment Tag:  (2¾” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Thank you for your kindness, from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the one of the Tag dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
  • A bit of retired Smoky Slate Stitched Ribbon was threaded through the Tag hole.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Sentiment Tag was popped up with Dimensionals.

I was using the Lacey Heart die yesterday in my class, and when I saw the option list over at Festive Friday, I thought it would work really well as it has Heart cutouts but isn’t too obvious, especially for the card that would be suitable for a man.   As I perused, Pinterest, a card created by Terri Gaines caught my attention.  This is my CASE (copy and selectively edit) to meet the criteria of the three challenges.
