Spring Pretty Floral– Birthday Thoughts

Welcome back!  Happy Wednesday. 

Playing with Just Us Girls (#675) and choosing the Flowers and the Colors from the Mood Board.  Keeping my design CAS (clean and simple), I chose the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches (#509) and opted for the Flower/ Spring themes for Crafter’s Café (#296), CAS on Friday (#255) and Retro Rubber (#204).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 6” scored at 3½”) Watercolor Paper – Cold Press 140lb from my stash (smooth side).
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the retired Flowing Flowers stamp set (circa 2022) was stamped with Stazon Black ink.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 3”) Watercolor Paper (texture side)
  • The Floral image from the retired Best Thoughts stamp set (circa 2015) was also stamped with Stazon Black ink.
  • The Flower was water-colored with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush with retired Regal Rose and soon to be retired Pear Pizzazz inks.  The color was picked up from a block that had been pressed into the ink pad.
  • A bit of shading was added with the retired Light Soft Sky Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker.

And that is it!

A lovely painted image and a simple sentiment.  Completely clean and simple.
