Hi! Getting a chance to create another clean and simple, simple stamping card for a few challenges.
Playing with The Flower Challenge (#79); Double Trouble (#136) partnering with Beautiful Blossoms (#4) and choosing the colors from Inspire Create (#140).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Bermuda Bay cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The lovely Floral image from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set was stamped onto a piece of Masking Paper and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- The principal Floral image was stamped onto the watercolor paper and masked.
- Additional Floral images were stamped to fill in the background.
- The mask was removed, and the principal Floral image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors: Both Light and Dark Polished Pink, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay.
- Sentiment Circle: (1½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper scrap.
- The sentiment, To a Wonderful Mother, from the retired Wonderful Mother stamp set was stamped.
- The sentiment was punched out with the retired (1½”) Circle Punch.
- The edge of the circle was colored with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
The Focal Panel was added to the card base and the Sentiment Circle was popped up with Dimensionals.
I love clean and simple cards and the Floral pops of color make this a very striking card. Masking is such an easy technique to use and is a lot of fun to play with. Especially for #simplestamping: just Stamps, Inks and Paper with an assist from a Punch.
Thank you for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

Such an effective design using just a small amount of coloring and leaving the rest of background just the outlines, turned out so pretty! Thank you for joining us at Double Trouble!

Great idea to use the masking paper to create your own “designer paper”! And, I love how you chose only a small portion to color!! Thanks for sharing with us at Inspire.Create!
