April Showers – Playing in the Rain

Wishing the very best on this Sunday…

April!  April Showers are a popular theme this month.  Here is my take prompted by: Inspired By (#233) including colors and the suggested sketch layout; Shopping Our Stash (#494); and as I went with Rain Showers instead of Baby / Bridal Showers, Can You Handle the Pressure (#29).

Using the Playing in the Rain stamp set, here is the result:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Umbrella image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink five times, alternating the orientation.
    • The Puddle image was stamped five times with Smoky Slate ink under the Umbrellas.
    • The Raindrops image was stamped multiple times across the “Sky” with Smoky Slate ink.
    • The Clouds image was stamped twice into the “Sky” with Balmy Blue ink.
    • The top (2¾”) section of the panel was dry-embossed with the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder.
    • Using Stampin’ Blends Markers, color was added.  Umbrellas – Dark Mango Melody, retired Medium Coastal Cabana, Light Polished Pink and Light Tahitian Tide; Puddles – A wee bit of retired Light Seaside Spray.
    • The sentiment, You make each season of life even more beautiful, from the Season of Chic stamp set was stamped under the Umbrellas, also with Smoky Slate ink.

A fun little appreciation card for a special someome.
