Happiness Surrounds – Believe

Welcome back!  Let me share what I made this afternoon…

Back to my favorite style.  Clean and Simple (CAS).  Playing with Inkspirational (#287) where Sunshine and Rain can result in a Rainbow.  The colors over at CAS Colours & Sketches (508) on my Mandala remind me of a Rainbow.  My stamp set choice, the retired Happiness Surrounds was influenced by the sketch design over at Freshly Made (#581) for an interesting shape.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral Mandala image from the retired Happiness Surrounds stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • Using Sponge Daubers, the colors Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Shaded Spruce were swiped on from Petal Base upwards.
• Sentiment Strip: (1½” x ¼”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, believe in yourself, from the Through it Together stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For interest and dimension, the Focal Panel and the Sentiment were popped up using Foam Adhesive Strips for stability.

A very clean and simple Encouragement card.
