Happy Saturday! Welcome to the weekend. I hope you have a chance to be creative…
This morning I created a card for several open challenges: Firstly, Inspiration Station (#48) for the photo of the big blue sky and the tulip fields. Having a Dutch background, this speaks to me and tulips are my mother’s favorite flowers. Secondly, Creative Colours (#84) for the color choices and Atlantic Hearts (#520) for the sketch. And last but not least, I am also sharing this with Jan’s Digi Stamps (April) Anything Goes for a Spring Floral card suitable for Mother’s Day.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (2¾” x 4½”) Balmy Blue Gingham patterned piece of paper from the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
- Accent Square: (2¼” x 2¼) Basic White cardstock scrap dry-embossed with the Dotted retired Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image – Floral Envelopes: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Floral Envelope image from the Full of Love stamp set was stamped with Basic Gray ink.
- The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors: Light and Dark Balmy Blue, Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Orchid Oasis and a bit of Light and Dark Mint Macaron for the Leaves.
- The image was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Sentiment Circle: (1½”) Petal Pink cardstock scrap.
- The Stitched Circle was die-cut using the new On-Line Exclusive Radiating Stitches Dies set.
- Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, the truncated sentiment, sending love, from the same stamp set was added by applying Orchid Oasis ink from the Stampin’ Write Marker directly to the individual words.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Floral Envelope was popped up with Dimensionals and the Sentiment Circle was tucked up under the Floral Spray.
Sending a whole lot of love to my Mother.
Thank you for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
