Garden Flowers – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!

For today’s card I am combining:  Just Add Ink (#648) Choose Two (Wall and Garden) with the colors suggested over at Color Throwdown (#738) and the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s (#601) sketch.

Here is the result:

FRESH CUT FLOWERS – SENTIMENTAL PARK – JAI648 – CTD738 – TSOT601 – CC179

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Window Frame: (4” x 3½”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock die-cut with the Radiating Oval Frame die from the Framed Florets Dies set.
    • Window Pane: (3½” x 2½”) Window Sheet adhered with Mini Glue Dots to the underside of the Soft Sea Foam Oval and the edges were trimmed.
    • Window Frame Inset: (3½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Pine Wood Planks 3D Embossing Folder which was then die-cut with the Radiating Oval Frame die for the inside piece.
  • Decoration – Flowers: Shimmery White cardstock.
    • The large Floral image from the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set was stamped with Stazon Black ink.
    • The Flowers were water-colored with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush with both Daffodil Delight and Garden Green inks.
    • Once dry, the Flowers were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Accent Greenery: Garden Green cardstock scrap die-cut with some of the Leafy dies from the Framed Florets Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Sentimental Park stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was closely trimmed to (2” x ⅜”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Looking through a white Cottage Garden Window into a cozy white Wood Paneled room and wishing you a Happy Birthday.
