Sweet Geraniums – Country Fresh Hello

Welcome back!  Glad to have you along.

Today’s inspiration comes from Time Out (#235) for the Country Fresh scene including the Pink Potted Plant and the Sentiment found on the Wreath.

I have selected the pastel color option over at Paper Players (#635) and the sketch presented by Just Add Ink (#647).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Pastel Multi-colored Stripe patterned piece of paper from the Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper pack.
• Background Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Balmy Blue Diagonal Stripe patterned piece of paper from the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Image – Potted Geranium: Basic White cardstock scraps.  Potted Geraniums stamp set and the coordinating Geranium Dies.
  • The Plant Pot image and the coordinating Pot Detail image were stamped with Sahara Sand ink. 
  • The Leaves image and the coordinating Leave Detail image were stamped with Pear Pizzazz and 2^nd Generation (stamped-off once) Old Olive inks.
  • The Flower image and the coordinating Flower Detail image were stamped with Blushing Bride and 2^nd Generation Polished Pink inks.
  • The Plant Stake and the word, Friend, were stamped with Sahara Sand and Soft Suede inks.
• Sentiment Label and Accents: Basic White, Blushing Bride and Balmy Blue Gingham scraps.
  • Blushing Bride (1¾” x ½”)
  • Gingham (2” x ½”) from the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Basic White (1” x ½”): The sentiment, Hello, from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue ink.

The elements were assembled and adhered to the card base.  One bunch of Flowers was popped up with Dimensionals.

A breath of fresh air with a Country Floral pretty potted Geranium picked up from the Market to give to a treasured Friend.
