Tropical Leaf – Hello

Welcome back!

Every month, Stampin’ Up! presents a #SimpleStamping challenge.  Simple Stamping = Just Stamps, Ink and Paper.  The challenges sometimes include a few other parameters.  For this month, use a punch and the sentiment, Hello.  I chose to use the new Tropical Leaf Bundle available as an On-Line Exclusive.

To meet this objective, I have selected the Color Throwdown (#736) colors and the sketch suggested by Shopping Our Stash (#493).

Here is the result:

TROPICAL LEAF BUNDLE – #SIMPLESTAMPING – SUSS April 2023 – CTD736 – SOS493

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Petal Pink cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Petal Pink Grid patterned piece of paper from the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Plant Stalks/Stems image was stamped with Soft Succulent ink.
    • The sentiment, Hello was stamped with Cajun Craze ink.
  • Focal Image – Tropical Leaves: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Large Leaf and the Small Leaf were stamped with Soft Succulent ink.
    • The Vein detail was added with the coordinating stamps using Evening Evergreen ink.
    • The Large Leaf was punched out.
    • The Small Leaf was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

The card was assembled to reflect a simplified version of the sketch.  The larger Tropical Leaf was popped up with Dimensionals.

#SimpleStamping at it’s best.
