Still raining…still playing…
Simple cards, so easy to create are sometimes forgotten as we get better at cardmaking. For this card, I kept it very simple and let the pretty patterned paper do all the work.
Over at Double Trouble (#135), the challenge is to use Rainbow Colors and they are in cahoots with Tuesday Morning (#702) for the suggested sketch. A great partnership.

What fun! I opted for the colors and not the actual rainbow. But just as rainbows are elusive, so is finding that very special feather…that very special you!
Here is what I came up with:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mango Melody cardstock.
- Four Rectangles: (1¾” x 2⅜”) Rainbow Confetti patterned piece of paper from the retired Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper pack.
- Accent Circle: (3”) Mango Melody cardstock die-cut with the largest Circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set.
- Focal Image Circle: (2⅝”) Rainbow Feathers patterned piece of paper from the retired Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with another Circle die from the Layering Circles Dies set.
- Sentiment Label: (2¾” x ½”) Mango Melody cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, I’m so happy I found you, from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.
A bit of paper, a bit of glue, a sentiment and or stamped image and you have a card. A great layout that can be dressed up or stepped up with more layers, more dimension and more embellishments. Use what you have! Don’t have Circle Dies or Punches? Change the shape to a Square or a Rectangle. Have fun creating.
Thank you for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
