Easter Tulips – Thinking of You

Welcome back!  Another dreary day…perfect spending some time in the Studio!

For this morning’s card I am combining a few more challenges:  The Card Concept (#193) for colors and especially the Jug of Tulips; Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s (#600) for the sketch; and Tic Tac Toe (#203) for the bottom line – Flowers, Ribbon and FREE.

Here is the result:

TULIP DIES – FLOWERING TULIPS – TCC193 – TSOT600 – TTTC203

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Ribbon: Shimmery Black Ribbon from my stash.
  • Rectangle Panel: (2½” x 4¾”) Crumb Cake and Basic Black cardstock.
    • The Crumb Cake piece was die-cut with the Dots & Spots Die to create a pattern.
    • The Panel was lined with Basic Black to make the Dots pop.
  • Square: (1½” x 1½”) Basic Black cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Just thinking about you today, from the Flowering Tulips stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment Square was die-cut with the smaller Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Decoration – Tulips: Basic White and Mossy Meadow cardstock.
    • All the pieces to create the Tulips were die-cut with dies from the Tulips Dies set.

The base elements related to the sketch were adhered in place.  The Tulips were arranged, and the Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.  Hard to see, but very pretty, the Tulips, Stems and Leaves were glittered by using the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  Three Enamel Dots Essentials in White and Crumb Cake were added to the sentiment Square instead of the Rectangle Panel.

Something very fresh about a bouquet of White Tulips, just perfect as a gift to the hostess of the Easter dinner.
