Welcome back! What a busy week. Glad to have some time to play but those darn deadlines keep creeping up…
So today, I was inspired by Paper Players (#634) for the theme; Color Dare (#541) for the colors chosen; TGIF (#414) for the materials used; and bringing it all together the current sketch layout at Sketch Saturday (#722).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Gray cardstock.
- Accent Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Smoky Slate cardstock dry-embossed with the Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- Cross Strip: (5¼” x 2”) Basic Gray Dotted patterned piece of paper from the retired 2018/2019 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper from my scrap bin.
- Circle: (2½”) Basic White cardstock piece previously die-cut with one of the Stitched Circle dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Accent Strip: (3¾” x ½”) Old Olive cardstock off-cut trimmed.
- Sentiment Label: (2” x ⅝”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Through thick and thin, Count Me In!, from the Count On Me stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink..
- Focal Image – Kangaroo Pair: (4” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Mother Kangaroo from the retired Animal Outing stamp was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Using a Mask that was previously created for another project and saved, the Kangaroo was covered.
- The Kangaroo image was inked with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker avoiding the Joey and stamped onto a clear acetate sheet that I have as part of my crafting tools.
- The wet image was turned over and positioned and pressed on to the card stock to create the Father Kangaroo.
- Eyelashes were added to the Mother Kangaroo using the Stampin’ Write Marker.
- The Kangaroo Family was colored using the Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light Smoky Slate and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- The Kangaroo Family was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were added to the card base to resemble the base sketch.
I like how this card came together. A sweet Anniversary card…
