It Looks Like Spring!

Happy Sunday!  Hoping you have a chance to be creative…I have a lot of challenge deadlines today so I will be a busy rabbit!

Playing with: Global Design Project (#387) for the theme; Creative Colours (#82) for the colors; and Tuesday Morning (#701) for the sketch layout.

Additionally, I chose to watercolor for Happy Little Stampers (April) and since my card features the delightful little Rabbit, Critter Crazy (#73).

Here is the result:

FABLE FRIENDS – THANKS A BUNCH – GDP387 – CCC82 – TMS701 – HLS Watercolor April – 2CCCB73

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Bermuda Bay cardstock.
  • Repetitive Shapes – Hexagons: Shimmery White cardstock die-cut with the (1¼” x 1½”) and (2” x 2¼”) sized Hexagon dies from the Beautiful Shapes Dies set.
    • The small Carrots image and the small Foliage image from the now retired Sale-a-bration Thanks a Bunch stamp set was stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay inks onto the small Hexagons.
  • The sentiment, It looks like spring, also from the Thanks a Bunch stamp set was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink onto the larger Hexagon.
  • Focal Image – Rabbit: Shimmer White cardstock.
    • The Rabbit from the retired Fable Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The Rabbit was water-colored with Gray Granite, Pumpkin Pie and Bermuda Bay inks using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
    • Once dry, the Rabbit was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch which I flipped for a more pleasing presentation.  The Rabbit was popped up with Dimensionals. A few retired Bermuda Bay colored Adhesive Backed Season Sequins were added for a bit of bling.

A sweet Spring/Easter card.

Your bunny reminds me of the Bunny Hop ride at Steinwasen Park in Germany. I hope you’ll join the fun! Have a creative week. Join at https://parkhoppingmyhappyplace.com/ . Cheers, Makira
