Spring Romance – Yellow Ranunculus

Welcome back!  Another lovely clean and simple card for you today for a number of Spring themed challenges.

Inspired By (#230) for Flower, Colors and Sketch; Paper Players (#632) for a Spring themed CAS style card; Just Us Girls (#671) for the Flowers and Colors; and CAS on Friday (#253) to add a Tag.

Here is the result:

RANUNCULUS ROMANCE – IB230 – PP632 – JUGS671 – COS253

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The sentiment, Just Because, from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink.
  • Focal Image – Ranunculus Flower: (2” x 4½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
    • The Ranunculus Flower, also from the Ranunculus Romance stamp set was stamped with Stazon Saddle Brown ink because it is waterproof.
    • The Flower was water-colored with Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz inks using the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
    • Once dry, the Flower was die-cut with the Largest Tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
    • The Round Tag Reinforcer was also die-cut.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  An Old Olive Linen Thread Bow was tied and added to the top of the tag which was popped up with Dimensionals.

So happy to have a chance to play with this stamp set.  Such a beautiful flower.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

  1. Jolanda your single yellow ranunculus stem is lovely and the simple tag is a great way to highlight it. Thanks for playing along with our CAS spring flower challenge over at The Paper Players this week!
