Epic Celebrations – You’re Awesome

Tuesday!  Design Team Challenges for Hand Stamped Sentiments (#410) – Color and Cardz 4 Guyz (#318) – Use some type of Coloring Medium.  I chose to create a card for a Teenager and picked the retired stamp set – Epic Celebrations (circa 2018) for Retro Rubber (#202) using the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#400) Sketch.  Let’s play!

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅜” x 4⅝”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Decoration: Fresh Freesia, Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz cardstock scrap strips taped together and die-cut with the Cross-Hatch die from the Chic Dies set.
• Label Accent Strip: (3” x ½”) Pear Pizzazz cardstock scrap.
• Sentiment Label: (2⅛” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You’re Awesome, was stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink.
• Focal Image – Sneakers: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Sneakers image was stamped twice with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • One was die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The other was colored with the Dark Balmy Blue and the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the sentiment on the left instead of the right.  The fussy-cut Sneakers were popped up with Dimensionals.

Some of us have never outgrown our Converse Sneakers…there are many pairs both small (me) and large (him) in our closet.  How about you?  Super card for a young person.
