Spring Apple Blossoms – Wonderful Friend

I have the pleasure of being invited to be a guest designer for Tic Tac Toe (#200) this round on their 200^th Board. What a great collection of options…so many ways to go. I chose the Center Line: Wood, Flowers and Die Cuts.

I selected the color combination suggested at the Global Design Project (#385) and the Freshly Made (#577) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock dry-embossed with the Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 3½”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (3” x 3⅛”) Woodgrain patterned piece of paper from the retired Wood Textures Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip / Sentiment: (4” x 1¼”) Woodgrain patterned paper from the same (6” x 6”) sheet.
  • The sentiment, to a wonderful friend, from the Amazing Year stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Decoration – Apple Blossoms: Very Vanilla and Coastal Cabana cardstock scraps.
  • Using the Floral and Leaf dies from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set, three Flowers were created.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with a Wood Panel in the background and three Floral Blooms popped up with Dimensionals along the bottom.

What a pretty card this turned out to be.  I am sure my friend will be very happy with it.
