Sweet Spring Floral – Hello

Welcome to the weekend.  A quick little clean and simple card for you.

Playing with Color Throwdown (#733) Colors.

Additional inspiration: Time Out (#233) for Style; Just Add Ink (#643) for Materials and Tools; Happy Little Stampers (March) Watercolor for Medium; and sharing with Jan’s Digi Stamps (March) as this is a Spring card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: Brushed Metallic Silver cardstock scrap die-cut with (2¼” x 2”) Hexagon die from the Beautiful Shaped Dies set.
• Focal Image – Flower: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Floral image from the retired Lots of Happy stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
  • The Floral image was water-colored with So Saffron, Balmy Blue and Pear Pizzazz ink with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.
  • The Floral image was die-cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅝”) Hexagon die, also from the Beautiful Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Label: (1¼” x ¼”) Brushed Metallic Silver cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Hello, from the Forever Fern stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with one of the Candle dies from the Sentiment Silhouette Dies set.

For a very spare and elegant presentation the framed floral element and sentiment were adhered to the card front.
