Blue Bird – Spring Birthday

Welcome back!  So happy to have time to play in the Studio today and share what I created.

Working with: Color Dare (#537) for the color choices; Sunday Stamps (#304) for the sketch; and sharing with Four Seasons (March) selecting one of the photos from the inspiration board and using a few retired items from my stash.

I selected the following colors to represent the Color Dare colors: GRAPE – Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis and LAGOON – Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Fresh Freesia Spotted patterned piece of paper from the retired Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The top left and bottom right corners were trimmed (1” x ½”) on the diagonal.
• Accent Mat: (2¾” x 3¾”) Bermuda Bay cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (2½” x 3½”) Pool Party Bird and Floral patterned piece of paper, also from the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Color was added to the Scene with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Bird – Dark Bermuda Bay; Lighter Flowers – Light Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather; Darker Flowers – Light Highland Heather; Floral Centers – Light Orchid Oasis.
• Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Have a Perfect Birthday, from the Blessings of Home stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The sentiment was die-cut with the Stitched Label die from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set.

All elements were adhered to resemble he sketch and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

What a nice color combo.  My little bird tweets so sweetly wishing you the best of birthdays.
