Fat Cat – Best Day Wishing Wishes

Tuesday!  Design Team Challenge for Cardz 4 Guyz (#317) – Make Us Smile and I chose Fat Cat! 

Additional Inspiration: Facebook Stampin’ Up! Concept Art Creative Challenge for the “THAT” Colors; The Stampin’ Up! #SimpleStamping Challenge for March; Just Add Ink (#642) for the Sketch; Sharing with Critter Crazy (#72) and Happy Little Stampers Birthday (March).

Keeping this card clean and simple with just stamps, ink and paper.  #SimpleStamping.  Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock (substituted for Coastal Cabana for a less intense look).
  • The sentiment, Wishing you all the Wishes, from the Best Day stamp set was stamped with Starry Sky ink in the lower right corner.
• Side Strip: (1¾” x 5½”) Starry Sky Cross Grid patterned piece of paper from the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper pack.
• Image Accent Mat: (2” x 3¼”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
• Image: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Fat Cat Cupcake image from the Best Day stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Fat Cat image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers: Cat – Light and Dark Crumb Cake; Eyes – Light Pool Party; Nose – Light Petal Pink; Bow Tie – Light Starry Sky; Party Hat – Light Pool Party and Light Starry Sky; Cupcake Wrapper – Light and Dark Pool Party.  The retired Stampin’ Blendability Marker Dark Daffodil Delight color comes across as Crushed Curry and was used for the Balloon and the Cupcake Wrapper Spots.

All elements were adhered to resemble the sketch. Doesn’t that Fat Cat make you smile?  A little glue and the card is complete.  Easy-Peasy!
