Garden Birdhouses – Hello Spring

Welcome back!  One last card for today…

Atlantic Hearts (#514) Sketch along with The Card Concept (#190) for overall Colors and Inspiration Photo elements and sharing with Paper Craft Crew (#507) for the Spring Theme.

Here is the result:

GARDEN BIRDHOUSES – FREE AS A BIRD – FRAMED FLORETS DIES – AHSC514 – TCC190 – PCC507

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Mossy Meadow Dotted piece of patterned paper from the 2022/2023 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The sentiment, Hello, from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder in the lower right corner.
  • Oval Frame: (2¾” x 3⅝”) Basic White cardstock (in lieu of Very Vanilla) die-cut with the Embossed Oval Frame die from the Framed Florets Dies set.  The Frame was set aside and the Oval was used for the scene.
  • Oval Inset: (2¼” x 3”) Basic White cardsrock.
    • The Tree Branch image, also from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set, was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink across the top.
    • The Birdhouse image, again from the same stamp set, was stamped with Early Espresso ink below the Branch.
    • The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers: Leaves – Light Granny Apple Green and Birdhouse – Light and Dark Crumb Cake.
    • A Hanger was added freehand with the Basic Black and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers.
    • Completing the scene, Balmy Blue ink was lighted added with a Blending Brush.
  • Focal Element – Bird: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Bird from the retired Free As A Bird stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend Marker and the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker.
    • The Bird was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch which was flipped.  The Bird was popped up with Dimensionals and a little bit of white showing between the Bird’s feet was colored with the Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend Marker.

We have lots of traffic at our Bird Feeder.  Spring is such a fun time…the Birds are singing like crazy. Love the neutral color palette mixed with all things greening up in the yard.

Thank you for spending some more of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!
