Up & Away – A Travelling We Will Go

Welcome back!  I have a fun and quick card for you today.

Inspired by: Use Your Stuff (#477) Travel Theme; Cupcake Inspiration (#563) for the colors; and Paper Players (#629) for the sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Case Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Real Red cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a torn piece of Copy Paper to resemble Clouds and a Blending Brush, Blushing Bride ink was applied to create the Sky of Clouds.
  • The sentiment, Treat Yourself to a Wonderful Day!, from the retired Wagon Full of Fun stamp set, was stamped with Real Red ink.
• Focal Image – Hot Air Balloon:  Tahitian Tide, Real Red and Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Hot Air Balloon was die-cut using the Balloon die from the retired Up & Away Thinlits Dies set.
  • Blushing Bride ink was applied to the Basic White cardstock with the Blending Brush and fussy-cut to fit behind the Balloon.
  • A bit of Real Red cardstock was fussy-cut to fit behind the Balloon Basket.

Keeping the card clean and simple, the Hot Air Balloon was added to the card front with Dimensionals.
