Love Cats – Hanging with You!

Just back from a few days of R&R.  We had a great trip!  Several challenges are outstanding, and I am not sure I will be able to get them all done but…

This is a quick card for the Try Stampin’ On Tuesday’s Sketch (#594) and I chose the current Facebook SU! Color suggestion for February.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Case Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5½” x 4¼”) Garden Green Striped pattern piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The sentiment, I love hanging out with you, from the Love Cats stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Cross Strip: (5” x 1”) Daffodil Delight Plaid patterned piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Strip: (5” x ½”) Highland Heather Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2022/2023 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the Zig-Zag die from the Basic Borders Dies set.
• Oval Shape – Focal Image: (2¾” x 1⅞”) Shimmery White cardstock.
  • The Lounging Cat image from the Love Cats stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (the hearts were omitted).
  • The Tail was fussy-cut with Paper Snips and the Oval die from the retired Stitched Shapes Dies set was fitted around the tail and die-cut.
  • The Cat and Oval Shape were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Cat’s Eyes – retired Dark Just Jade; Top Half – Dark Daffodil Delight and Bottom Half – Light Highland Heather.

All elements were adhered to resemble the sketch.  A colorful CAS (clean and simple) card.
